We rented an apartment in one of those houses.
Rab has a lot of riuns and churches. Did you know that Rab was a Roman settlement and 10 years BC Emperior Octavian Augustus pronounced it a municipum?
Rab has 157 km of bike trails, 144 km of walking trails and a very nice, big park. Flora enjoyed a lot!
I hope I brought some sun into this rainy day! Have a nice week.
It is strange, but today I dreamed with your bags. I was in a new shop in city and discovered your bags. I don´t know how subconscient works, but it made me smile.
ReplyDeleteLove Croatia...was there in 2002, few tourist, no like today, and so blue water. Those photos look great. Hope you had a great time.
You were in Benasque?! What a coincidence!
Videti je čudovito. Nisem še obiskala tega otoka, tako da si mi pričarala nekaj omamnih lepot s fotografijami. Upam, da si uživala.

ReplyDeleteOh that looks idyllic! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! :D I live on an island too, but it is nothing like that. The ancient buildings are so interesting!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice time, Kristina!

Made For You By Me On MV
Thank you for sharing these lovely photographs! Makes me want to go there!
ReplyDeleteLepo si pofotografirala in nas še malo poučila o zgodovini. Verjamem, da je kratek oddih zelo pasal.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, this is BEAUTIFUL! :) Thanks so much for sharing... as you said on my blog - if it was not for you, I would have no idea what life there might be like. Great photography
ReplyDeleteI don't need coin purses, so not entering there (although they are cute - but I'll let someone else go for them), but just checking out the rest of your blog... cool! I didn't even know the Romans were in Croatia at all. I had a Yugoslavian roommate in college (back when there was a Yugoslavia...) - her photos and stories from home were always interesting.
ReplyDeleteAmazing island. Great food, nice people. Restaurants in Rab are heavily influenced by cuisine more typically associated with Italy. Home-made pizzas and fresh pasta and risotto dishes feature heavily on menus, along with a wide choice of locally-caught fish and seafood. Rab is an island of contrasts: on the north coast stretch the rugged hills of Kamenjak, while in the south, you will find beautiful sandy beaches and colourful Mediterranean flora and fauna.
