Another giveaway!
But hold it, this time it's not me who's giving away, but Allison from Campbell Soup Diary. She is giving away a book, fabric and some ribbon. Great giveaway if you ask me and I'm in for it! Check it out, the giveaway end on August the 17th.

A little bit of everything
I woke up into rainy Saturday morning, so I decided to stay at home. Thanx againg for sending all your good thoughts. I did a bit of cleaning, washing, ironing, reading and most of all sewing!
I finally finished this custom ordered thing I was telling you about. It's purpose is going to be for storing cosmetic. Something like that:
Then I played with small bits of fabric and this turned out - first atempt wasn't to good
second atempt was better, because I learnd on my mistakes. That's how I always learn.
And then I have to show you some before and after.
Such a small diference - just a few felted balls, but such a great outcome.
So, what were you doing this weekend?

Fair in Piran
I'm acting like a farm girl, looking at the weather reports every half an hour. Will it rain on Saturday or not? I have good reason to be concerned. I'm not going to put away hay or anything like that, although when I was a child I did help every year at my grandma's farm, but that's another story.
There's an Fair this Saturday in small costal town called Piran and I'd very much like to go. The Fair is held at Tartini square (named after Giuseppe Tartini, born in Piran in 1692).
Although I love this city and would like to visit it, I'd love to meed new people, chat a bit, maybe sell a few things, I wouldn't like to get wet as well as getting my bags all wet. The weather report doesn't look at all promising - cold and rainy, maybe even storms.
So come on people, send some good vibrations to this part of the world, I need some sun or at least not the rain! In a meanwhile I'll show something I made in one afternoon. I could be a lunch bag, but

instead I use it as a shoes bag.
I'm not really into high heels I can't wear them all day long, so at my work I usually change into something more comfortable.

Finally finished
This blog post could be titled finally finished part one, because I have a lot of stuff that's waiting to get finished. There's a lot of unfinished stuff that's just collecting dust as Allison from Campbell Soup Diary said it. All you crafty people, be honest, you have projects collecting dust as well, right?
Do you remember this shoulder bag I was showing you some time ago? Quite a few months ago, four months actually.... Well I finally finished it. OK, I finished it a few weeks ago, but I'm terrible at making photos I hate that part - probably because I'm not good at it.

So here it is, finally! I love those colours: red, green and sandy. I normally wouldn't put red and green together, but here it looks rather nice.

I like it so much, I decided to keep it. Sorry folks, but not for sale.

Custom made in progress....
I like sewing chalenges and this is something I've never done before. It's still in progress 'cous I'm out of bag bottom - have to order it. Can you guess what it'll be? Let me give you a hint: It's round (OK, you can see that) but it's not going to be a handbag.

Great news
Yesterday was my birthday and on the same day I found out two great news:
1. Some time ago sewmamasew posted Free fabric friday and anyone could win one yard of fabric. I posted a comment and totaly forgot about it. So tipically me. I was away for the weekend and on Monday I somehow noticed their winners annoucemet on their sewmamasew blog. Boy, was I suprised when I saw my name among other winners of one yard free fabric! On my birthday! How fantastic is that? Although I'm still waiting for that "We’ll be in touch later today with details!"
2. My Irish Setter Flora is negative on tick borne diseases. Some time ago she limped on one of her paws for a few days. Few weeks later she limped on another paw and a few weeks later on another. Limping is very tipicall for lyme disease so I got her tested. Yesterday the resoults came and she is negative! Fantastic!
Couldn't be better. Better than all birthday presents!
p.s.: Thank you all for your birthday wishes! You can still comment on my previous post and maybe you'll win a market bag.

Display
A dresser in a living room is usually where we put framed photos or a vase or a sculpture, maybe a mirror, but how about your creations?
This is just some of the wristlets I made in past week.
