Studio Domicil

You'll have to forgive me for my abstence, I have a lot on my mind. I'm working on a custom made bag.

Today I'd just like to let you know that you can see (and buy offcourse) some of my stuff in Studio Domicil (Breg 22, Ljubljana).

My first patchwork

Here it is

In warm autum colours and a white to combine both patchwork sides.

When I stared making blocks from small bits of material and sewing them, I had no idea what will become of it. Just like in song que sera sera whatever will be, will be. I had no idea how to end the pachwork, so I improvised. I turned out as a big cushion. Not so bad, right? I learned a few things along the way and I'm sure next time it'll be easier. I still have a lot to learn. My next wish is to make a quilt. First I have to find out where to get my hands on all that fantastic tools for making quilts, beginning with batting and a rotary cutter and so on. There so much tools to help quilters and all I have are scissors and an old sewing machine...

The cuttest thing

For all handbag lovers :-) A notebook handbag. I just culdn't resist it.

Little black bag

It's black and it's little, but it's not something to wear along with little black dress. Oh, no, because it's a dog's bag. Dog's bag? Do dogs need a bag? No, but I do. Fof carring my dogs favourite ball, some treats and plastic bags for picking up poops. It's washable, it's practical and it's cute.

Two of my this year's resolutions was to sew at least half an hour a day and to finish of before I start sewing something new. So far I did well on both resolutions, so here is the resoult:

Opinion needed, please

This bag is geting a new button. I would like your opinion on wich one of the buttons? I like both of them and couldn't decide which one of them to buy, so I bought both. So, what do you say:

New Year's Resolutions

Do you make them? Do you hate them? I usually don't make them, but if I do, I forget all about them half way through the year. This year's resolutions would be:

• I hope I'll find more time to sew, at least half an hour a day.

• I really really should finish what I started before I start sewing something new, so I won't have stack of half way finished projects.

• I would like to start quilting. I looks like fun, so what's stoping me?

• I don't use the sewing patterns, therefore I should start drawing the bags I make. I should make my own sewing patterns.

• I should spend less time in front of the computer and go out more or read more or sew more.

• I hope I'll continue with giveaways. It' so much fun. 

• I hope to meet more people from bloging world.

• I hope I'll open a store on Etsy. That would be nice.

This is one of the unfinished project waiting to be done for some weeks. I finished it today, as well as some others little bags. And I sewed for about an hour or so. I very happy about it.
