And the winners are...

This was not my first give away, but it was my first under organization from sewmamasew. I was overwhelmed by your comments! Never in my dreams did I expect to get 331 comments. Since comments are not numbered, I had to print them all and number them from 1 to 331 (btw: how I make blogger to number comments?). It was lovely to read all of your comments so thank you so much. I wish you could all win. For those of you who didn't win, stop by some more, because I love giving away and be sure there will be more giveaways in the future. If you'd like to see my past giveaways look here and here and here or under tag give away.

To choose two lucky winners I used Random.org and these two numbers came up:
168  Jasmine1485
18  Mandy @ make it dear

I wanted to post a photo of random, but don't know how, so you'll have to trust me on that one.

Congratulations to both winners. You can expect an e-mail from me.

The Goofy Cat Handbag

When I start sewing, I just can't stop. I forget to eat, drink, take the dog out. I'm a bit exaggerating, but still when there's an idea stuck in my head I have to get it done! It's like reading a good book when you have to finish it and in the meanwhile you forget about the world around you.
Do you remembet the navy blue handbag from the previous post? I made several bags from that sewing pattern. I decidet to call it The Goofy Cat Handbag 'cos it looks a bit like a smilling cat as one reader told me.

I love the colour of this one. It's not red and it's not pink, it's something in between.

For the interior fabric I choose this contrasting yellow silk.

This is also one of my favourite fabrics.

For  the inside of the bag I choose red silk.
If a use my imagination this bag (when opened like that) reminds me of a young hungry blackbird with open beak crying for food.

Last but not least - the bag with lovely butterflys.
Gone to Australia as a giveaway

and little birds for the inside.

One of those lovely bag is going to be a giveaway bag in the following days!

My new creation and an upcoming giveaway!

First of all, this blog post was posted a few days ago, but blogger just throw it away. This is the first time it happened and I sure hope the last time as well. I'm really sorry to all of you who couldn't access to my blog and to all of you who already wrote comments at this blog post. Here we go again:

I had an image in my head of this small, Summer bag and I just had to make it. It was like an itching I had to scratch. I used this nice navy blue fabric for outside wich I bought at KA International in Barcelona.

and cute little birds for inside
.
I used magnetic snaps for the first time.

For the first time I even did my own sewing pattern. Two actaully.

How should I call it? The pattern I mean? Any suggestions?

P.S.: Have you heard about sewmamasew's May Giveaway day? No? Well you better mark your calendar on the 23th of May, 'cos that's the day when there will be houndreds of blogger (including me) participating in giving away either Handcrafted Item(s), Handcrafted Item(s)+Supplies/Materials, Sewing and/or Knitting Supplies/Materials.

I have a thing about fabric

When I went to Barcelona I just had to visit my favourite fabric store -  KA International. There are three or four KA shops in Barcelona, I went to the one situated on the Diagonal street. They are situated in an very nice building and they were closed the first time I came around, but that didn't stop me.

I came back and left the store with a pack of great fabric. Phew, I wish I had more money...

As soon as I got home to Ljubljana, cuddled my bitch, had something to eat, had a bath and then started sewing. Are you eager to see vhat I've made? Well you'll have to wait a bit longer.

Images from Girona

Girona is a small town 100 km northeast of Barcelona. The best time to visit Girona is when there's Flower festival - between 7 an 17th of May. The cheapest way to get there is by train. It's a lovely little town, to bad for the rainy weather.

Images from Barcelona

La Sagrada Familia - probably one of the most known works from Antoni Gaudi. This is how it looks like on Sunday at 8AM.

Park Guell - I liked it here, could get lost for hours.

La Pedrera
Casa Batllo

There so much more in Barcelona than just the work of Gaudi.
A morning walk on Sunday morning.

Everyone need to make a living.

Or just read a newspaper.

Besides motorbikes, bicycles are the most commonly used to get around. And metro of course.

I'm crazy about antiques

and crafting

Barcelona has a lot to offer, I'm sure there's something for everyone. I liked it a lot, but couldn't live there parasimpre.
