Destination: Valencia

This was a last minute decision and those are the best, don't you think? I have no turist guides, no plans. Only yesterday I found out that it's going to be F1 in Valencia's port this weekend and of course it's also football and Spain is playing. Great for all sports enthusiasts, which I'm not! 

I do have a bit of problem what to pack. I always say I'm not taking a lot of stuff, but then end up taking a lot more that I need. Sounds familiar? 

I'll be back on June the 27th. Until then, have a great time!

Impressions from Rab

It's a rainy Monday, so I'm showing you a few photos from my short escape to the sea. This is Rab, Croatia. The island with a long history, very kindly inhabitants, good icecream :) It was my firts time on this island, but definitely not last. I loved it!

We rented an apartment in one of those houses.

Rab has a lot of riuns and churches. Did you know that Rab was a Roman settlement and 10 years BC Emperior Octavian Augustus pronounced it a municipum?

Rab has 157 km of bike trails, 144 km of walking trails and a very nice, big park. Flora enjoyed a lot!

Girona is a small town 100 km northeast of Barcelona. The best time to visit Girona is when there's Flower festival - between 7 an 17th of May. The cheapest way to get there is by train. It's a lovely little town, to bad for the rainy weather.

Park Guell - I liked it here, could get lost for hours.

Besides motorbikes, bicycles are the most commonly used to get around. And metro of course.

Barcelona has a lot to offer, I'm sure there's something for everyone. I liked it a lot, but couldn't live there parasimpre.

To all my readers. I wanted you to know, I'll be away for a while, I'm going to Barcelona, España. I visited Barcelona once years ago, but only for a day and ever since it was one of my wishes to go back again. I'll be gone for a week and hopefully I'll be enjoying the sun, the smell of the sea, looking at the turist atractions and Spanish guys, having a great time.
