Work in progress and a little bit of sale

It's been long time since I've blogged. The last time was in mid February and it was still very much winter - cold and snowing. Now, about 14 days later it's very warm with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Farenheit). I know it seems like winter is over, far from it, it still might snow, but I love spring! It's great because days are longer and warmer, the first flowers are blooming, the birds are singing more loudly (I know I'm going to hate it when they'll be singing at 4.30 am in the summer) and I feel there's optimism all around me. I don't think I could live far north with long and cold winters. Congrats to all of you who do.

I haven't been sewing lately because I'm totaly out of my tags. I went to local sewing shop where I bought satin ribbon for the first time to buy new one, but they didn't have any. Said I would have to wait a month untill they'll order. So I ordered it myself directly from UK - here. It was much cheaper and faster! Now, that I got my ribbon I'll have my tags soon as well, just need to get them printed. I have been asked before, so I'm telling you all now: I use Berisfords satin ribbon and my tags were printed at Mumino.
Can't wait to get new tags 'couse I have so much ideas I wanna try. I' m almost done with this wood handle bag.

I also have half done frame purses. As soon as get my tags I'll be able to finish them. Until then just a little sneak peak.

iPhone bags

It looks like everybody has an iPhone these days. If not the iPhone, than any kind of touch phones. If you're one of those lucky people, you need a bag that suits your new phone, right? These bags are slightly bigger than those for ordinary cell phone - perfect for iPhone or Blackberry. They are made from quality upholstery fabric and cotton or silk for interial.

Two of my this year's resolutions was to sew at least half an hour a day and to finish of before I start sewing something new. So far I did well on both resolutions, so here is the resoult:

A have been busy this weekend, here is the result. 

Just a word of advice: if you like any, don't think twice, don't even blink, it may not wait for you and you might not get another chance, because I only do one of a kind. They're all unique.

Cell phone bags

I the past I made a few bags for carring cell phone. I didn't have any sewing pattern or instrucions I just set down and tried making it. And I complicated a lot. The bag eventualy turned out great, but it was a lot of work. That's why I only made three and those were sold almost immediately. Then one day I saw this easy tutorial for cell phone, iPod or camera bag and it made my life so much easier. Thanx to sewmamasew and a pretty cool life for the tutorial. Try it out, it's really easy and those bags are such a lovely present.

Previous weekend due to bad weather and my bitch being in season (so we couldn't go out and enjoy the snow), I finaly tried this tutorial and made some more. Here are just two of them, the rest three were already sold.
