Art fair in park Tabor

This blog post is an invitation for all my lovely readers.
On 31th of May there will be an Art fair in Tabor park from 2 PM until 6 PM. If you have time and will be in Ljubljana, please stop by and say hi. The more the merrier :)

I'll be there with plenty of my bags. On my stall there will be:
20 shoping bags (a few are brand new, I made them past weekend)

17 different keychains

45 different coin and make up bags

8 mini frame purses (some brand new, I finnished them this morning)

Other size frame purses, cell and iPhone bags. Unfortunately I won't be selling any handbags or shoulder bags - simply because there won't be enough place on the stall.

I hope I'll see you on Thursday afternoon, if not, have a great week!

Valentines shopping bags

I belive that more and more people are becoming enviromentally conscius about disposabe plastic bag and are using cotton bags insted. The Valentines day is near, so I made a few shopping bags with lovely hearts. If you'd like your boyfriend, girlfriend or anyone else to be more envorimentally friendly now's the time. Those bags can be washed and reused over and over again. The best part is, they can be folded and put into handbag.

Small hearts or one big heart, the choice is yours.

Market bag

Going on a market on Saturday morning? Maybe to the library? Wanna look unique with a unique shopping bag?

Those are unique, handmade shopping bags made of 100% cotton. They are approximately 38 cm x 36 cm (the size may vary a bit since they are all uniqe). You can use them when going to the market, shopping goceries or as a library bags. I have one of those and I use it for carrying my lunch to work and when I'm going home from work, I stop at a store and buy food - the bag is strong enough for carrying all of that.

When not in use you can simply fold them and put them in your handbag. The size of folded bag is approximately 13 cm x 10 cm.

Cool, right?

Shopping bag, grocery bag

I'm totally not into plastic bags and I think they should be banned due to obviously reasons - polluting. I carry a cotton bag in my handbag at all times. What's your opinion on plastic bags?

I few weeks ago I bought some really nice fabric and my mom's comment was, that it's a kitchen fabric. Therefore I made some shopping bags that can be also used as a grocery or lunch bag. Now any of family members can have it's own shopping bag. Maybe I'll use all of them depending on my mood. Today I was in a mood for flowers. Here they are:

First the green apples grocery bag SOLD

than the fruit grocery bag

and the flowers grocery bag

When folded together, they're no bigger than a wallet. Useful, right?

Onina manifestacija v pravo smer

In Slovenia there are about 40.000 children who are in risk of poverty. That is a lot if you think there is only 2 million inhabitants in Slovenia. Therefore Slovenian daily newpaper Delo launced a charity action called Create for children.

In May 2010 I saw an application for making a shopping bag kind towards enviroment. It was a charity thing, because all bag would be sold and money given to children and their familes who lost their jobs in Koroška region.

"I can make a shopping bag". So I thought long and hard and evenually made a bag and sent it.

In June the 22nd I found that among 194 bags the jury introduced 20 finalist and my was among them! Boy, was I happy. It is made out of cotton and it can be used on both sides. On one side there are trees and on the other there are stripes. I choose trees because Slovenia has a lot of trees, trees are very important for the Word and we should tresaure them. I choose stripes because I like them and they are fashionable this year.

The first photo is borrowed from HERE the other two are mine.

On 8th on September the winners were annouced and no, I did not win, but I am happy anyway. My bag was sold almost instantly. I hope it will serve the new owner well.

Since it was a charity thing I bought my self a bag as well. Here it is:

To bad I do not know the creator of this bag.

More info:
You can look at this LINK to se the final 20 bags and HERE to see the rest of the bags. And on this LINK you can find photos of event (on the 6th photo a mistery girl is buying my bag :)) and a video where my bag can be seen (between 3:34 and 3:40) in a hand of a model.

Thank you all who voted for me and my friends for all your support. It means a lot to me.
