A little bit of everything

I woke up into rainy Saturday morning, so I decided to stay at home. Thanx againg for sending all your good thoughts. I did a bit of cleaning, washing, ironing, reading  and most of all sewing!

I finally finished this custom ordered thing I was telling you about. It's purpose is going to be for storing cosmetic. Something like that:

Then I played with small bits of fabric and this turned out - first atempt wasn't to good

second atempt was better, because I learnd on my mistakes. That's how I always learn.

And then I have to show you some before and after.

Such a small diference - just a few felted balls, but such a great outcome.

So, what were you doing this weekend?

Three in a row or Crazy about stripes and big buttons?

Do you remember me asking for an opinion on which button to sew on a bag? You decided it should be a green one, so it was, but what to do with the yellow one? I made thiese little bags. They look alike, but each is uniqe. They're approximately 10cm X 8 cm, just the right size for ID card, credit card, student card, library card or any other card you can think of. For just 6 € a piece.

The one with green button is SOLD

The inside of the bag and yes the button has no useful value, it's there just because it looks good ;)

Wait! There's more! This is a bit bigger bag and it therefore has a bigger button. It's about 18 cm X 12 cm. The inside is the same as with the smallest ones. It can be yours for 16 €.

And last, but not least - my favourite - with a zipper. This one is 16 cm X 14,5 cm. The price? 16 €.

All of them together so you can see the difference in size.
Far right (with green button) SOLD

Any questions and comments are very welcome! Have a great evening.

Remember this stack of fabric?

And now here are these. First the red ones.
This was a very small bit of material (24 cm x 28 cm), so this is a very small handbag, so small I had to use another material for inside of the handel (you can se it on the first photo, if you look very closely). For a lady's night out when all you need is wallet, mobile phone and keys. It's 22cm wide and 21cm high, the handel is 40cm long it also has a zipper on top. And the price? Very favourable, only 24€.

Another small hand bag, also in red. This one is 24cm wide, 25cm high and handel is 46cm long, zipper on top. Price 26€.

Both of them together.

Then the orange ones.
Some like it orange. I love orange, especially with chocholate brown or with the colour of sand. It's a warm colour for those cold winter days.
First a small bag for credit cards or a small change, 14cm x 10cm, zipper, price 6€,

than a bit larger bag. 20cm x 21cm, velcro, price 18€.

And a larger handbag with two pockets in front. 35cm wide, 28cm high, pockets 18cm  x 22,5cm, handel 68cm, zipper, price 30€.

There is still some material left and I have a lot of ideas what to do with it, but I'm working on another project, so this will have to wait a bit. Just a sneak peak at my new project:

The design
The material

Even the best designers now and then borrow an idea. I like to look at sewmamasew blog. It is mostly about sewing clothes, but in August there was a blog post and tutorials about lunch bags that I liked and made a few bags - not necessarily for carrying lunch.

This was one of the easiest things to sew so I made another one.....
